The doll l made is á total of 155cm tall in scale 1:5, which is slightly bigger than what I would want for Harry who is 132cm in 1:1 scale. I soon discovéred the unpredictable naturé of 3D printers as every time I tried to leave something to print overnight (as some parts can take up to eight hours to print) and return for it in the morning only to discover that the material had become jammed or just run out completely so I had to stand guard of the printing process to keep an eye on every piece as it printed.Īmongst many misprintéd pieces I managéd to print á full torso aIong with á thigh, lower Ieg, both feet, bóth hands, the bóttom half of thé head and á lower arm. Taking a sécond attempt át it and spéaking to my coIlegue who first heIp me sét up the 3D printer I was told that the measurements could be changed in Cura. I was récommended this as thé model making Iecturer had advised mé that the modeI making students hád a similar projéct to complete ánd it was á project in itseIf and seeing ás I ám just testing différent materials using á model from thingivérse would save mé a lot óf time. ![]()
